Mission
The purpose of the benevolence ministry is to attend to the needs of the church and the community. This mission is accomplished by providing assistance in clothing and food to members and non-members and to provide monetary support when warranted and funds are available. As servants of our Lord Jesus Christ, we must always be willing to help when possible, using wisdom in all cases. The benevolence ministry is truly Christian love in action.
Goals
� Oversee the food give away program: "Forgotten Harvest Program"
� Assemble food packs for members and local neighbours the 2nd Tuesday of the month.
� Christian fellowship to non-christian participants
� Collect and share donated clothes
� Ensure church pantry is stocked
� Assist members when in need
� Send flowers and/or cards to sick members and bereaved
� Collect and prepare food for members during bereavement and going home service.
