Invitation
 Leadership

" We invite you to come worship the Lord with our families. Our goal is to offer a loving environment modeled after that which was taught and shown by the Lord Jesus."

 Our Leadership Model:

The Church of Christ is a non-denominational church structure, as was the earliest form in 33 A.D. in Jerusalem. As such, each church is self governed on all matters. Although there are many Churches of Christ, there is no governing relationship between them. The only guide used by the leadership of each church is the Holy Bible.

Each church is under the spiritual care and direction of its Eldership. This follows the structure of the New Testament church as designed by Christ's Apostles in the first century.

In the Bible, Elders are referred to as Shepherds, bishops, pastors and overseers as a metaphor for their role in the church. The organization of a local church consists of bishops (elders), deacons, and members (Phili. 1: 1). The need of elders is seen in the work God has assigned to them.

Elders are to be examples to the flock, take the oversight (superintend), and take heed to the flock (I Pet. 5: 3; I Pet. 5: 2; Acts 20: 28). Elders have the responsibility of tending to the flock, watching for grievous wolves, and stopping the mouths of vain talkers or purveyors of error (I Pet. 5: 1, 2, ASV; Acts 20: 29-31; Tit. 1: 9-11). Elders are not businessmen simply in charge of the daily secular or monetary workings of the local church, but rather they are to be engaged in a spiritual work of soul keeping.

Deacons are but another group of leaders under the Elder's direction who take care of the day to day activities in the church, and help implement the church's vision as developed by the Elders. The Deacons relieve the Elders of worldly concerns that would take them away from the truly important matters of the people whom they serve.
